Your heart needs a cardio workout. Cardio is a layman term which means exercises for a healthy heart. Your heart needs the correct blend of aerobic and weight training exercises. You may do walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, climbing stairs, skipping, dancing or playing an outdoor sport. Any exercise is a good exercise for preventing high BP, diabetes and cholesterol. Once you develop heart disease, it is very important for you to do the right kind of exercise. There is no one size that fits all. We also have a cardiac rehabilitation program specifically for patients who have undergone a recent bypass surgery, valve surgery or diagnosed with heart failure.
